Croire que Dieu existe, croire qu'il a donné Son fils unique pour que nous soyions sauvés, croire qu'IL nous préserve du danger lorsque nous lui confions notre destinée, croire que Dieu peut apporter solution à nos problèmes...Et Le voir agir !

Aussi croire que nous avons de la valeur, croire que nous pouvons atteindre nos objectifs, croire nous pouvons y arriver, que nous pouvons le faire... C'est ce qui nous pousse à nous améliorer chaque jour, à croire que nous serons meilleurs.

Les autres l'ont fait, oui, les Blancs, "ceux d'en haut", mais aussi ceux qui nous ressemblent et qui, je crois, ont vécu pire que nous. Ils sont nés sur une terre qui n'est pas celle de leurs pères. Eux, leurs pères avaient souffert sous les fouets, l'oppression, le mépris, l'injustice, etc. Ils ont cru que c'était possible de devenir "autres", ils ont enseigné la foi et le respect de l'autre à leurs fils. Les fils, eux, ont adopté "le nôtre". Il s'appelle Barack Obama et il est Kenyan et candidat à la présidence aux Etats-Unis... Oui ils peuvent le faire !



Les Noirs, les Blancs et tous les autres chantent ensemble sur le texte de son magnifique discours: YES WE CAN. Ils croient que c'est possible, ce ne sera plus qu'un rêve.

Et si on faisait un peu attention à ce qui se passe là-bas ? Et si on prenait le temps de miser sur ce qu'il y a de meilleur pour nous ? Et si on travaillait simplement ?

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics…they will only grow louder and more dissonant ……….. We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check. We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.

Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea –
